WHEN TO SCHEDULE
The ideal time for newborn photography is between 7–14 days old, when babies are still sleepy and naturally curled.
While I recommend you schedule within that time frame they can be done from 3-8 weeks. So if you're past the 14 days don't worry, we can make it happen.
The key? Book while you’re still pregnant — ideally during your second trimester at the latest. We’ll pencil in based on your due date and adjust once baby arrives. No stress, no guessing.
Most Boise families reserve their due date during their first and second trimester to guarantee availability, as a limited number of newborn sessions are offered each month.
Once baby arrives, we finalize your session date.
If you're ready to do maternity and newborn we can bundle them and schedule them at the same time.
Once booked you only have to reach out when baby arrives. I'll be in touch for the rest.

If you're expecting and wondering where to start
WHAT TO EXPECT
+ THE DATE
We choose a date near your due date. Realizing that this may need to be changed once baby is born.
+ SESSION
Newborn sessions take a while. We plan for at least 2 hours. This gives us time to take breaks and give baby what he or she needs during the session.
+ PLANNING
We work together to plan the session you're wanting. You'll fill out the questionnaire, we will talk colors and discuss how the session will go. Who will be in the images and where you'd like to have the session. I offer studio, in your home and outdoor.
+ GALLERY AND ARTWORK
Your package includes digitals. Through your personal gallery you'll select which digitals you'd like and download them there. You'll also be able to purchase collections, prints, additional digitals and products. Albums, canvas, metal prints and other heirlooms for your home.
INVESTMENT
PACKAGES START AT $400
Each package includes some digital images. You'll receive a full gallery of images where your favorite images are chosen. Collections and Heirlooms are available at the gallery store.
The gallery store will have everything available to purchase additional prints and products. Families typically spend between $800 and $2000 after upgrading to the entire gallery, purchasing a collection or adding prints, albums and wall art. Selections are made through your gallery store.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you include family and sibling portraits?
Yes. Many Boise families choose to include parents and siblings for timeless family images. It is up to you if you'd like to have portraits with family.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
Your due date secures your spot. We adjust once baby arrives. You reach out and let me know baby has arrived and we will choose a date based on baby's birthday.
What should I wear?
Neutral, soft tones photograph beautifully. The studio client closet is available for mothers. If you have something you'd like to wear please reach out, I am here to help.
Is newborn photography safe?
Absolutely. Sessions are baby-led, gentle, and never rushed. Hannah has been newborn safety certified and fully educated on safe practices for handling and posing newborns. She has 20 years of experience in photography and worked with infants for over 25 years. Infants are never forced into a pose and certain poses are composites. We also offer lifestyle portraits which are not as posed and offer a different experience and look.
